UAE. Dubai Duty Free management and staff took part in UAE National Flag Day celebrations today (3 November).
Headed by Executive Vice Chairman and CEO Colm McLoughlin, staff gathered in front of the company’s headquarters to hoist the UAE flag.
The flag is considered a symbol of dignity and national affiliation.
The event was held at 11.00am local time and took place simultaneously with federal departments and ministries, schools and offices across the UAE.
The Dubai Duty Free team were also joined by local children and representatives from Dubai customs.
As part of the celebrations, UAE Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development HH Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan launched a number of events to be held between 3-7 November.
The National Flag Day is a celebration of values and the day when both Emiratis and expatriates living in the UAE come together and take pride in what they have accomplished, Dubai Duty Free said.
