Safilo signs Rebecca Minkoff for new eyewear collection

ITALY/USA. Safilo and premium luxury brand Rebecca Minkoff have announced an agreement for the design, manufacturing and distribution of a new collection of sunglasses and optical frames.

A US brand specialising in attainable luxury handbags, accessories, and apparel Rebecca Minkoff is the largest millennial female-led global lifestyle brand, the company said.

The agreement will run for seven years through to 31 December 2024 and the scope will be worldwide. The first Rebecca Minkoff sunglass collection will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2018, followed by an optical collection in January 2019. The collection will be available on the brand’s e-commerce site and in boutiques, department and sunglass speciality stores and optical stores worldwide.
