Safilo and Dsquared2 strike five-year eyewear licence agreement

The first sunglasses and optical range from the five-year partnership will be launched in January 2022

Safilo Group has struck a five-year global licensing agreement for the design, manufacture and distribution of Dsquared2’s eyewear products.

Dsquared is a luxury fashion brand founded by brothers Dean & Dan Caten in 1995.

The first sunglasses and optical collection from the partnership — a Spring/Summer line for both men and women — will be launched in January 2022.

Commenting on the new eyewear partnership, Dsquared2 Founders Dean and Dan Caten said, “Eyewear is a very important product category for Dsquared2. We are very happy to start this new partnership with Safilo that will allow us to further strengthen our position in the segment.”

From 2008 to 2021, the Dsquared eyewear licence was held by Marcolin Group.
