Safe Bag strikes two-year contract at Salvador International Airport

BRAZIL. Safe Bag subsidiary Safe Bag Brasil has struck a two-year contact to provide luggage protection and tracking services at Salvador-Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães International Airport, following a tender. The contract begins on 20 December.

Safe Bag specialises in luggage wrapping, baggage traceability, reimbursement in the event of loss or damage to luggage, travel products and accessories.

Safe Bag CEO Alessandro Notari said: “The recent privatisations in South American airports have demonstrated a general wish to renew services [with] operators of international calibre able to offer quality and innovation.

“These are the reasons why we are achieving growing interest in this part of the world where, in the years to come, we expect to grow considerably.”

Salvador International Airport served about 8 million passengers in 2017, is the fifth largest airport in Brazil and the number one in terms of passenger traffic in the north-east of the country.

Italy-headquartered Safe Bag now has a presence at airports in France, Portugal, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Chile, Poland, Russia, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand and the Philippines, as well as Brazil, with 150 points of sale.
