Safe Bag secures temporary contract at Tom Jobim International Airport

BRAZIL. Safe Bag has won a temporary contract to provide its integrated range of luggage protection and tracing services at Rio de Janeiro RIOgaleão – Tom Jobim International Airport.

Under the contract, the company’s activities are scheduled to begin by the end of September and will continue on a temporary basis until the new tender is held in 2018.

Approximately 16 million passengers passed through Tom Jobim International in 2016.

Safe Bag CEO Alessandro Notari said: “The contract with the international airport of Rio is an invitation for us to make the services offered by Safe Bag known in Brazil – a country where travellers are extremely careful about protecting their luggage. We are very proud of the work performed over the last few months by our Business Development division.”

Safe Bag Chairman Rudolph Gentile added: “Signing the contract with the airport of Rio is confirmation of the prudential characteristics of the 2017-20 Safe Bag Industrial Plan approved at the beginning of last June, which had envisaged the company acquiring only two additional licences in the two-year period between 2017 and 2018, an objective that has already been met (Ottawa and Rome). The challenge on which our team is focusing is to exceed the estimates provided to the market as we already did in 2016.”
