The Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials horseracing meeting takes place this weekend, with Her Majesty The Queen expected to have runners in three races.
On the opening day’s Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup EBF Stallions Conditions Stakes, the Queen’s three-year-old bay gelding Maths Prize is set to feature. The race will also involve Montataire and Permian, owned by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
In the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships Maiden Stakes on Saturday the Queen has two William Haggas-trained debutants, Called To Mind and Musical Terms, among the entries.
The one-mile event has attracted 33 entries this year, including six owned by Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Rashid Al Maktoum.
The Newbury event represents the start of Dubai Duty Free’s season of horseracing sponsorships and marks the company’s 22nd year of support for the sport in the UK.
