UK. Bvlgari has teamed up with Dufry to open a jewellery, watches and leathergoods pop-up store at London Heathrow Terminal 5.
The 25sq m outlet, which showcases Bvlgari’s latest releases, aims to create a virtual journey through one of the city’s streets. The space centres on the idea of using ancient marbles and stones typical of Roman buildings, and express them in a classic geometric style that is open to modern interpretation.
Bvlgari Travel Retail Director of Sales and Marketing Roberto Marino said: “We are proud to offer travellers a unique experience at the crossroads between past and present. By entering our store, clients are not only transported through our Roman heritage, but also have the opportunity to discover the best expressions of contemporary and timeless icons: the Serpenti Collection, dating back to ancient Roman mythology or Divas’ Dream, exalting the essence of Italian femininity and inspired by the sophisticated mosaics of ancient Rome.
“As a tribute to the Italian elegance combined with Swiss watch expertise, Bvlgari is delighted to showcase in Heathrow the newly awarded best Men’s Watch as judged at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève: the Octo Finissimo Automatic watch, which is the world’s thinnest timepiece.”
The Octo Finissimo Automatic is a self-winding watch which is 5.15mm thick and 40mm in diameter. It houses a 2.23mm self-winding movement.
Heathrow Retail and Service Director Chris Annetts commented: “Bvlgari have brought an eye-catching and exciting design to their pop-up space. Bvlgari is hugely popular with passengers across the globe so we are really pleased to be able to bring them even more beautiful goods to enhance their shopping experience.”
