Roberto Cavalli goes back to its Florence roots in latest fragrance

Coty has extended the Roberto Cavalli fragrance line with new Florence eau de parfum. A 50ml (€68) and 75ml (€88) version will launch in travel retail from January.

Roberto Cavalli Florence was created by Master Perfumer Marie Salamagne of Firmenich and is a nod to the fashion house’s founder, who was born and raised in Florence, Italy.

To design the chypre amber, Salamagne drew inspiration from the Tuscan countryside and introduced harmonies that reflect Florence’s urban setting and sophistication.

The fragrance’s top notes include sweet blackcurrant and tangy mandarin essence, which build to a heart of orange blossom and zesty grapefruit. The dry down blends musk, amber and patchouli.

Roberto Cavalli Florence is housed in a purple, round glass bottle which has chiseled sides. A discrete Roberto Cavalli monogram decorates the top of the facetted bottle cap.

The brand said Shlomit Malka possesses the luminous quality and natural elegance that define the Roberto Cavalli Florence woman

Young model Shlomit Malka is the face of the new fragrance and stars in a film shot by Nicolas Garnier. In it, she wears a dark purple dress with feline print fabric and snakeskin belt and strap, faithful to the Roberto Cavalli universe.
