Rituals’ partnership with Essence Corp sees first store open in Americas travel retail

Body and home cosmetics beauty house Rituals has opened its first store in Americas travel retail at London Supply’s Puerto Iguazu border duty free complex.

The opening is in partnership with Essence Corp, which has travel retail distribution rights for the brand in the USA, Canada, Latin America and Caribbean.

The London Supply shop-in-shop gives Rituals its first showcase in the Americas.

The 28sq m shop-in-shop opened on 2 February and features a large product assortment including fragrance sticks, candles, perfumes and gift sets. The opening marks the first time that Rituals is able to showcase its lifestyle brand credentials spanning numerous categories to travel retail shoppers in the Americas.

Customers can experience treatments as part of the standard service.

The brand’s signature sakura tree features prominently by the store entrance, reminding travellers of the Asian wisdom and ancient traditions that inspire Rituals’ products. Upon entering the shop, customers are offered a herbal tea and the opportunity to experience products via complimentary hand and arm massages at the water island.

Rituals – whose philosophy is based on transforming daily routines into meaningful rituals – uses the tea and massage services to encourage consumers to relax and have some ‘me time’.

London Supply has been an esteemed partner of ours for over 40 years and this new store solidifies a successful ongoing partnership. We thank both Rituals and London Supply for their support.”

Rituals Director Travel Retail Neil Ebbutt added: “Over the past 10 months we’ve been working hard with Essence Corp. We are very proud of the results and the successful opening, and we look forward to engaging with consumers, inviting them to discover the ‘slow down’ philosophy of the brand.”
