Ritter Sport has introduced four new products which are exclusive to travel retail.
Ritter Sport Country Manager Simone Weiss said the brand is focusing on a bolder image in travel retail, with ‘attention-grabbing’ displays and more innovative products such as its new one-metre presentation of 72 chocolate squares.
The Ritter Sport Minimeter includes Butter Biscuit, Marzipan, Hazelnuts, Fine Milk Chocolate, Praline and Cornflakes flavours and will be available from April 2017.
Personal messages including ‘I love you more than chocolate’ and ‘Just to see you smile’ feature on the Ritter Sport mini Heart Gift Box and Smiley Gift Box. The 300g Smiley box contains 18 individually wrapped Ritter Sport minis in travel retail-exclusive flavours Marzipan, Fine Milk Chocolate, Praline, Cornflakes, Hazelnuts and Butter Biscuit.
The 433g Ritter Sport Travel Box offers three 100g varieties – Alpine Milk Chocolate, Hazelnuts and Butter Biscuit – as well as eight minis.
“We have the courage to be different in travel retail,” Weiss said. “We are always looking for new logos, something catchy and unlike any of the other brands.”
The brand’s promotional material includes messages such as ‘Please do not leave your chocolate unattended at any time’.
Weiss added that Ritter Sport was considering extending its ‘successful’ German flag destination pack to include colours of flags from other countries.
