Operating in the Northern European market, R&F has been supplying premium duty free products to shipping companies, embassies and airports since 1979.

Describing 2020 as a “very challenging year”, the company said that it succeeded in securing some new business, including a contract to design an onboard shop for what will be the world’s largest catamaran ferry. The owner is Danish shipping company Molslinjen, which is launching the vessel in 2022.

R&F Travel Retail will design an onboard shop for the catamaran ferry Express 5, which launches a new service between Denmark and Sweden next year

Named Express 5, the ferry will operate between Rønne, Denmark and Ystad, Sweden, with the ability to carry up to 1,610 passengers.

R&F Head of Sales Stefan Oldenburg said: “We are absolutely thrilled to strengthen our sales team with two new colleagues with extensive sales experience and retail expertise.”

He added: “From a business point of view, we believe that 2021 will offer some exciting possibilities for us and we look forward to taking some important strategic steps towards becoming a leading travel retailer.”
