Rēvo unveils first-ever Eco Collection made with 100% biodegradable materials

Style and substance: The new Rēvo Eco Collection was made with a 100% biodegradable acetate

Performance eyewear specialists Rēvo has launched the Rēvo Eco Collection, its first-ever sustainable eyewear range. It is now available in Americas, Europe, and Australia travel retail.

The Rēvo Eco Collection comprises of six handmade sunglasses, comprising three women’s and three unisex styles.

The collection is made with a special bio-acetate material, which is organic, plant-based, and 100% biodegradable; foregoing the use of toxic plasticizers.

It also features Rēvo’s signature ‘Light Management System’ technology, which manages the full spectrum of light, including Blue light and HEV light.

The sustainable eyewear range is available in the brand’s Amber Horn, Crystal Mauve, Caramel, and Blue Horn shades. The warm colour palette was inspired by the natural landscapes of Southern California, where the accompanying media campaign was also shot.

In addition, the Rēvo Eco Collection is also packaged in packaging made from recycled paper.

“Rēvo is committed to continually seeking new technologies and our Eco Collection is a step towards minimising the environmental impact of our frames,” said Rēvo CEO Cliff Robinson. “The collection ranges in price from US$199 to US$229 and features special packaging made from recycled paper.”
