Rest in Peace: Ramon Revilla

Ramon and Raquel Revilla

It is with immense sadness that we report the passing last night of Ramon Revilla, father of The Moodie Davitt Report Publisher Irene Revilla, in Madrid, Spain after he recently contracted the coronavirus COVID-19.

He leaves his wife Raquel, and daughters Irene and Arancha.

Irene, who is based in London and due to the COVID-19 restrictions cannot be with her mother at this sad time, describes Ramon as “a wonderful man, very kind, funny.”

The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie said: “The Moodie Davitt Report team is devastated by the loss of Irene’s beloved father Ramon and join with her many friends in this industry in expressing our sorrow, our condolences and our love.

Irene Revilla: A daughter any father would be proud of and a key member of The Moodie Davitt Report team

“Irene has asked us to tell everyone in the travel retail industry to be ever more mindful of personal and family safety and responsibility. Next Tuesday at noon our team will all stand to applaud the Spanish health workers who fought so hard and so selflessly to try to save Ramon and are doing so for many, many others in the nation’s hospitals.”

We invite others to join our thanks – and our gesture of remembrance. Rest in Peace dear Ramon.
