Rémy Cointreau appoints Matthew Hodges as European Director, Global Travel Retail – 29/01/09

Strategic thinker: Matthew Hodges, Rémy Cointreau’s new European Director, Global Travel Retail

INTERNATIONAL. As it finalises its new Travel Retail organisation, Rémy Cointreau has announced the appointment of Matthew Hodges as European Director, Global Travel Retail, effective from 2 February. He will be based in Paris.

Hodges’ previous travel retail experience includes nine years with Diageo, where he was the Strategy Director of the Global Duty Free business, as well as a number of recent private consulting projects in partnership with Martin Moodie, owner of The Moodie Report (in that capacity he is one of the speakers at today’s ETRC Forum in Brussels).

At Diageo he earned a well-held reputation, both internally and with retailers, as being one of the most astute strategic thinkers in the business, with particularly keen insights on consumer and in-store dynamics.

Rémy Cointreau Managing Director Global Travel Peter Sant said: “We are very happy to have Matthew come onboard. His experience will be a great asset to Rémy Cointreau Travel Retail, both in Europe but also globally as we move into this new era for our company.”
