Rémy Cointreau appoints Ian McLernon and Ryan Hill to key travel retail roles

Rémy Cointreau has announced the appointment of Ian McLernon as International Director of Travel Retail for Europe & Americas and Ryan Hill as Regional Director Global Travel Retail (GTR) Asia Pacific, effective immediately.

Both will report to Rémy Cointreau Chief Executive Officer Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet.

McLernon’s appointment follows the selection of Peter Sant, previously Senior Vice President Global Travel Retail, to lead the Rémy Cointreau team in the UK, Ireland and Nordics domestic markets from a base in London.

McLernon, highly experienced in both travel retail and liquor, launched his career in Whitbread plc followed by Coors Brewing, Unwins Wine Group and Drink Works Ltd. He joined Parfums Christian Dior as Commercial Sales Director UK & Ireland, and was subsequently appointed Regional Director Travel Retail Asia Pacific. In 2015 he joined Moet Hennessy Diageo Singapore as Director & General Manager, subsequently becoming Director of Travel Retail Asia Pacific.

Ryan Hill replaces Ernest Tse, who has moved to the role of Regional Sales Director South China.

Hill’s travel retail experience included roles at Russ Berrie and Paton’s Macadamia Plantations prior to joining Edrington Group to manage commercial development in Asia. Latterly he was managing travel retail activities across the region as Director GTR Asia.
