Readers’ competition – how to help convince travellers our frontliners are safe

INTERNATIONAL. “Our sector is, often literally, in the frontline of the travel industry. We need to stand up and declare, “Travel Retail Safe – I’ve been vaccinated.” So writes The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie in his Blog today, shortly after receiving his first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine in Hong Kong.

A shot in the arm for The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie’s confidence after his first vaccine dose today in Hong Kong

Prompted by those comments, The Moodie Davitt Report is proud to announce a unique readers’ competition to reassure travelling consumers by informing them that airport retail, food & beverage and operational staff have been vaccinated (and/or, but ideally and, are subject to regular testing).

We’re offering US$1,000 (US$500, US$300, US$200 for the first three) in prizes to the winners’ charities of choice for the best slogans and designs to be worn on a badge with a staff uniform by retail, F&B and other staff.

Send your slogan and design (rough sketchings are fine for non-design professionals) and nominated charity to Martin Moodie (Martin@MoodieDavittReport.com) by email headed ‘Front Line Slogan’ by 31 March.

UAE national carrier Etihad Airways claimed in February to have become the first airline to have had all its operating pilots and cabin crew vaccinated to help curb the spread of COVID-19 and give passengers peace of mind. Note the employee badges.
