QikServe and FreedomPay partner to create integrated payment solution

NORTH AMERICA/EUROPE. QikServe and FreedomPay have signed a joint reseller agreement to drive payments market expansion in Europe and North America.

Edinburgh-founded company QikServe is behind the enterprise content management and third-party integration platform for guest self-service in hospitality. HMSHost and Shake Shack are among its clients. FreedomPay offers an ecommerce platform and technologies that are used in a range of industries.

Easy and secure: QikServe’s ‘Pay at Table’ solution aims to improve the customer experience

The companies will offer an integrated payment solution for hospitality operators combining QikServe’s enterprise digital self-service platform with the FreedomPay commerce platform.

The two companies have previously worked together on several projects, including a kiosk ordering system for HMSHost at fast food outlets across US airports.

“We’re thrilled to expand our relationship with QikServe and look forward to jointly building our global presence,” said FreedomPay Founder & CEO Tom Durovsik. “By joining the FreedomPay commerce platform, QikServe will be able to offer their customers a personalised, seamless, smart experience at checkout.”

QikServe’s ‘Pay at Table’ solution allows customers to pay quickly and easily using their mobile device. It is web-based and does not require an app download; instead guests scan a QR code or tap an NFC tag on the table to link to the payment merchant safely and securely.

FreedomPay noted that a key feature of its platform is ‘analytical tokenisation technology’, which enables data from an individual’s sales journey to be tracked “invisibly and with no friction”, according to the company. The system also prevents sensitive cardholder details being compromised.

In practice, this means customer interactions can be collected from instore and digital sales channels to build a detailed view of the customer. The data can then be used for personalised offers or loyalty programmes.

“We’re excited to be working in partnership with FreedomPay, which gives us the ability to provide their excellent payment gateway service directly to our customers, aligning with our strategy to develop Payments as a Service (PaaS) specifically for hospitality,” said QikServe Founder & President Daniel Rodgers.

“FreedomPay’s leadership in tokenisation technology is very well-suited to restaurant brands that want to make the shift to truly seamless customer centric loyalty programmes.”
