“Expeditions for the senses” – The Moncler fragrance range features personalised LED screen-enabled flaçons
Global first: The launch marks Moncler’s first foray into fragrances after Interparfums acquired the worldwide distribution licence for the brand in 2020

QATAR. Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has welcomed 2022 with the global travel retail-exclusive launch of Moncler’s first branded fragrance line.

Moncler Pour Femme and Moncler Pour Homme are now exclusively available at Qatar Duty Free throughout January before rolling out to other Middle East and worldwide locations.

The fragrances are promoted at striking, interactive pop-ups located at QDF’s two main perfumes & cosmetics stores in the South Retail Plaza at Hamad International Airport (HIA).

“We are delighted to be the first travel retailer in the world to launch Moncler’s debut fragrances, marking a fitting start to an exciting year ahead,” commented Qatar Duty Free Vice President Operations Thabet Musleh. “Aside from their distinct and exclusive scent accords, both perfumes are packaged in eye-catching bottles, a unique component which undoubtedly stands out.

“We are committed to providing an unrivalled retail and dining offering for all our passengers travelling through HIA – the Best Airport in the World – and introducing our customers to a memorable shopping experience. We continue to grow and expand, and we look forward to further enhancing our retail portfolio with many more unique offerings.”

Moncler Pour Homme and Pour Homme blend beauty tech innovation with Moncler’s mountaineering roots

Described as “veritable expeditions for the senses”, Moncler Pour Femme and Moncler Pour Homme have been equipped with interactive features on the bottles. An LED screen is the highlight of the ‘borraccia’ flask-shaped bottles, evoking the house’s mountaineering heritage.

As an added beauty tech element, customers can personalise the message panels on the flaçons using a bluetooth-enabled app enhancing the fragrances’ gifting appeal. As reported, Moncler’s fragrance line is produced and distributed by Interparfums after the company acquired the exclusive worldwide licence agreement for Moncler fragrances in June 2020. That agreement runs until December 2026, with a potential five-year extension.

Both scents were inspired by the great outdoors according to the brand owner. Moncler Pour Femme, the feminine fragrance, was created by Perfumers Nisrine Grillié and Quentin Bisch. The floral, woody and musky scent contains two exclusive accords, opening with the crisp powdery snow accord.

Moncler Pour Homme, the masculine expression, was developed by Perfumers Antoine Maisondieu and Christophe Raynaud. The woody aromatic scent opens with the exclusive Alpine Green accord, followed by a symphony of woody notes.

“After several years of discussion, research and development, these two fragrances have come to life in a way that truly captures the essence of Moncler,” said Interparfums CEO Philippe Bénacin. “As the Chairman and CEO of Moncler, Remo Ruffini has accompanied us throughout the process, closely following the global concept as well as the finer details.

“Moncler as a brand has such a covetable status – it’s a brand that really embodies innovation, which is why these perfumes feel like the perfect continuation of its story. With these two fragrances, even the bottle itself is a new adventure, a new spirit, and a new way of communicating – whether it is to write your name, a special message, or anything you like.”

As reported, QDF celebrated its 21st anniversary in 2021 unveiling significant investment and an expanded retail portfolio. This includes a larger store footprint and expanded selection of products and global brands, further reinforcing Hamad International Airport’s reputation as a premier global shopping destination for international travellers.
