QATAR. Qatar Duty Free has opened its second Harrods signature store at Hamad International Airport (HIA).
The boutique features a range of Harrods bags, wallets, other accessories and food gifting products. Qatar Duty Free said that items such as Harrods shopping bags and the Harrods bear are renowned across the world.
Qatar Duty Free Head Thabet Musleh [former Qatar Duty Free Senior Vice President Luis Gasset left the company recently -Ed] said: “We are very excited to launch our second Harrods store at HIA. Harrods is one of the world’s most iconic luxury retailers, and our first store at HIA has been hugely popular among passengers. This is why we decided to open an even bigger branch, to give travellers more choice and an enhanced product range of luxury items.”
Harrods Managing Director Michael Ward, said: “Harrods is delighted to be expanding our offering at HIA, one of the most impressive airports in the world. We look forward to showcasing our much-loved Harrods products to the millions of passengers that are set to pass through this year.”
Qatar Duty Free runs over 90 boutiques and luxury stores, plus over 30 restaurants and cafés covering 40,000sq m.
