QATAR. Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has unveiled a new luxury design concept Burberry boutique at Hamad International Airport.

The opening adds to a stellar portfolio of luxury brands available at QDF. The boutique offers an attractive selection of ready-to-wear and outwear pieces, bags and accessories, while shoes have become the latest addition to the range.

The Burberry Boutique features the brand’s signature pieces, including Lola and Olympia bags, the famed trench coat and classic cashmere scarves.

The luxury design concept takes on a minimalist approach with edgy dimensions to give its space a breath of fresh air. The store is designed with a curved façade and a Champagne-coloured exterior reflecting the brand’s new contemporary brand identity.

The interior captures the essence of the brand in a vibrant setting with brown and Champagne-coloured walls and ceiling, offset by a check tile floor pattern.

The Burberry boutique is located within Hamad International Airport’s luxury boulevard.

The airport company, in partnership with Qatar Duty Free, said that it continues to look out for exclusive retail, hospitality and lifestyle experiences to match the needs of its millions of visitors – offering a unique opportunity for brands and businesses to connect with a truly global audience.

Hamad International Airport’s imminent expansion, which is split into phases, is set to increase the airport’s annual passenger capacity to 58 million during phase A this year. It will then rise to over 60 million passengers during phase B – which will commence post the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which kicks off in November.

The expansion will feature 380 trees (and we are talking seriously big trees, many already in place); 26,000 shrubs; a waterfall; and a dazzling array of retail and food & beverage experiences, the likes of which I promise you the airport world has never seen.

The expansion embraces a range of leisure attractions and services ranging from art collections, lush greenery and a wide array of contemporary retail and dining concepts.

The airport operator said, “Hamad International Airport’s expansion will completely transform the multi-dimensional offerings of the five-star airport, integrating a host of facilities and offerings under one expansive world-class terminal.

“The airport’s expansion plan design will also allow passenger flow to seamlessly tie up with the existing world-class terminal and at the same time improve the overall passenger experience, including minimising travel distances for connections, providing clarity and intuitive wayfinding and a unique passenger experience through the lush rainforest and garden.
