Privé goes public as Puig pours Millions into the travel retail market

Puig has launched a duo of line extensions to its highly successful Paco Rabanne Million fragrance range: 1 Million Privé (French for ‘private’) and Lady Million Privé.

1 Million Privé (50ml and 100ml) and Lady Million Privé (50ml and 80ml) will be available in travel retail locations across Europe from August and across the Middle East, the Americas and Asia Pacific from September.

Perfumer Christophe Raynaud has kept the blood mandarin and cinnamon notes of the original Million and added a heart of nargile tobacco and myrrh to create 1 Million Privé. Base notes of patchouli and tonka bean absolute add a further sensual layer.

Creator of Lady Million, Perfumer Anne Flipo has returned to create a headier, more oriental fragrance with Lady Million Privé. Heliotrope flower, vanilla and raspberry join the original notes of orange blossom and vibrant wood with a base layer of cocoa bean, honey and patchouli.

The bottles of the Privé versions keep the original gold bar and diamond shapes of the male and female versions respectively but now take on an amber tone and feature gold plates embossed with the word Privé. The translucent rear of the bottles reveals a glimpse of the amber-hued juice.

Models Hana Jirickova and Sean O’Pry feature in the Privé campaign inspired by Bonnie and Clyde-style romantic partners in crime.

The Paco Rabanne Million line, dating back to the launch of 1 Million in 2008 followed by Lady Million in 2010, is a key pillar of the Puig fragrance portfolio.
