Plaza Premium Group offers “coastal, calming vibe” at new Sydney Airport lounge

AUSTRALIA. Plaza Premium Group has opened its latest pay-per-use lounge, at Sydney Airport’s international terminal.

The Plaza Premium Lounge’s design reflects a “coastal Sydney vibe”, according to the company, in a space described as “intimate yet calming and relaxing”. Australian firm IA Design has implemented floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic runway views, while locally-sourced Australian Tasmanian oak features throughout.

The food offering blends classic Australian dishes and global flavours. A live kitchen corner enables guests to watch chefs in action. High tea is paired with Sri Lanka-based, ethical Dilmah teas.

AeroBar offers a social spot and a range of complimentary beverages including local Australian beers, house wines, barista coffees, milkshakes, spirits and cocktails are served there.

The lounge is located opposite Gate 25 in Pier B of the international terminal, and is Plaza Premium Group’s third in Australia, joining locations in Melbourne and Brisbane. Up to 70 guests can be seated, with lounge access rates starting at US$45 for two hours usage and US$32 for children aged between two and 11. A -30% discount is available for guests booking through www.plazapremiumlounge.com until 30 May.

“Sydney is a popular destination and Sydney International Airport is the country’s busiest airport connecting 70% of the world destinations,” said Plaza Premium Group founder and Chief Executive Officer Song Hoi-see. “With the latest opening, we are proud to serve in all of Australia’s top three busiest airports – Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.”

Sydney Airport Chief Commercial Officer Vanessa Orth commented: “Plaza Premium Group’s new lounge at the international terminal is a welcome addition to our extensive lounge portfolio, providing customers with a quiet and comfortable space to relax post or pre-flight. Greater accessibility through Plaza Premium Group’s pay-per-use option also ensures every passenger can enjoy this great new location.”
