Playin Choc partners with Tourvest Retail Services to join British Airways portfolio

UK confectionery and toy brand Playin Choc has teamed up with inflight concessionaire Tourvest Retail Services to have its Dinosaur ToyChoc Box listed with British Airways.

The product is featured on short-haul flights from London Heathrow and Gatwick airports in the airline’s Speedbird Café menu.

As reported, Playin Choc was founded in 2017 by Maya Simler. The mother-of-two was looking for a healthier chocolate snack for her children and, at the same time, was concerned about the use of single-use plastic and excessive packaging in both the confectionery and toy markets.

Aiming to combine taste, creativity and sustainability, she developed a range of products which are suitable for children over the age of three. The portfolio features organic chocolate and environmentally friendly, educational toys.

Playin Choc products are 100% recyclable, zero-waste and plastic free. The brand uses paper-based recycled, recyclable, biodegradable and home compostable materials.

Each ToyChoc Box comes with two individually wrapped chocolates, a 3D puzzle toy and an educational fun facts card. Children can also use the pop-out puzzle frames as stencils to create their own drawings. The brand’s organic, allergen-free vegan chocolates combine three ingredients: Peruvian cacao from small farm collectives, Indonesian coconut and Madagascan Bourbon vanilla.

In travel retail Playin Choc offers 66 collectable boxes across five ranges, along with JustChoc Boxes of 10g mini bars.

Playin Choc Managing Director Dominic Simler said: “It is great to see the British Airways Speedbird Café menu offering kids our Dinosaur ToyChoc Box as part of their menu, giving kids an exciting gift to keep them occupied on-board.”

He added the brand’s latest listing marks “an exciting move” for Playin Choc which is now available in over 30 countries.

Playin Choc will present its products at the 2022 TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes next month (Blue Village, G24).
