Philippe Farnier: Highly regarded

LVMH has appointed the highly regarded Philippe Farnier as Executive Vice President International at Parfums Christian Dior. Farnier has been President & CEO Travel Retail, LVMH Beauty, since April 2022.

In his new role, Farnier is responsible for local markets and travel retail at the prestige LVMH beauty house. He reports to Parfums Christian Dior President and Chief Executive Officer Véronique Courtois.

Before joining LVMH, he was CEO of Rémy Martin & Head of Group CSR at Rémy Cointreau for nearly four years, having earlier joined the French drinks house in 2015 as President & CEO Americas. Farnier also worked for Dior earlier in his career, spending almost seven years with the company, culminating in a successful two-year stint as General Manager – Travel Retail EMEA from February 2013.

LVMH said that over the past 12 months Farnier has led the transformation of the group’s Beauty Division in travel retail. He created an integrated organisation able to leverage LVMH’s strength, while elevating the expression of each brand and strictly controlling distribution, the group said.

“I am delighted to see Philippe take charge of the commercial activities for Parfums Christian Dior,” said Courtois. “His 30 years’ experience, his strategic negotiation skills and his strong leadership will undoubtedly be key assets to further elevate and contribute to a new era of development of our Maison around the world. We wish him every success in his new role.” ✈
