Petra Eckhardt-Köstler departs Rodenstock to rejoin P5 Marketing Agency

The announcement marks Eckhardt-Köstler’s departure as Rodenstock Global Retail Director after nine years in the company

Rodenstock Eyewear Global Retail Director Petra Eckhardt-Köstler is departing the company after nine years to rejoin her consulting firm P5 Marketing Agency.

During her tenure, Eckhardt-Köstler managed the company’s sunglasses and optical brands.

Some of her biggest achievements include leading a global consumer goods team to take net sales from a zero start in 2013 to becoming a leading premium eyewear supplier in domestic, travel retail and ecommerce channels.

P5 Marketing Agency offers a range of consulting services including product development, sales, and marketing strategies with a specialisation in fashion accessories and optical products. The firm aims to help clients with stakeholder management, channel development, market penetration, new product development/promotion strategies and help them maximise ROI.

Before she launched P5 Marketing Agency, Eckhardt-Köstler also spent eight years as Head of Eyewear at Fossil Group. She helped build Fossil’s Eyewear business, developed countless sunglasses and optical frame products, and set up various sales and marketing structures.

By the time she departed from Fossil, Eckhardt-Köstler had gained +10% market share in the optical markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Between 2004 and 2011, Eckhardt-Köstler also served as the Managing Director for the European Sunglasses Association. She also worked in various sales and marketing roles for Porsche, BMW and Hilton International during the early days of her career.

“My career has been marked by my involvement with some of the best-known, and highest quality, companies from the global consumer goods business, where I have built up a track record of significant achievements,” Eckhardt-Köstler said.
