Pernod Ricard announces new London-based travel retail global organisation

Pernod Ricard is to consolidate its three regional travel retail organisations – Asia Pacific, EMEA and Americas – into a single global entity.

The operation will be headquartered in London and become effective from 1 July.

The French drinks giant noted that the travel retail channel represents the company’s fourth-largest market. It commented: “The new organisation will allow Pernod Ricard to fully capture the undeniable growth potential of this channel by its unified global approach. It will also ensure a more effective collaboration with brand companies and key customers.”

The global organisation will be supported by market-based Business Units, charged with driving topline growth and maximising value creation by being close to the markets.

The global leadership team will be led by Mohit Lal, Chairman & CEO of Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, along with:

  • Franck Lapeyre, currently President & CEO of Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Americas, as Chief Operating Officer, Pernod Ricard GTR. He will take direct responsibility for managing the Business Units and ensuring their business delivery.
  • Nodjame Fouad, currently Marketing Director of Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Asia Pacific, as VP Marketing, Pernod Ricard GTR.
  • Olivier Gasperin, currently VP Finance, GTR and Asia Pacific, as VP Finance Pernod Ricard GTR.
  • Angel Li, currently VP Human Resources, GTR and Asia Pacific, as VP Human Resources Pernod Ricard GTR.

All will report to Mohit Lal.

The next steps for Ian Williams, currently Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Travel Retail EMEA, will be announced at a later stage.
