Paul & Shark releases second Nick Wooster collection

Paul & Shark has launched its second Nick Wooster X Paul & Shark capsule collection, a range which the company says tells the brand’s story through the eyes of the “eclectic” American designer.

In an attempt to raise the Italian brand’s influence among fashion-conscious consumers, Wooster – who is best known for his street style –reimagined its trademark products and branded them with an X.

For example, he resized the house’s trademark blue wool sweater, adorned it with buttons on the shoulder and fluorescent details, and made it in nylon.

Colour, prints, patchwork and an unconventional use of materials are key elements of the collection.

The collaboration was launched at Antonia Milano in Milan on 12 February. The event featured a live performance by rising Italian rapper Anastasio, winner of the latest edition of Italy’s X Factor.

Fluorescent knitwear is made from ultra-light cashmere and parkas, shirts and shorts feature patchwork details inspired by striped shirts and bonded with contrasting materials, including nylon. Contrasting colour blocks have been added to jackets and shirts and coats are often reversible.

Paul & Shark Global Travel Retail Director Catherine Bonelli said: “We are thrilled to be collaborating with Nick Wooster once again. Nick cleverly combines style and sophistication in all his designs, and his pieces really bring something unique to Paul & Shark’s overall collection.”
