Paradies Lagardère implements Mobile Point of Sale tool

NORTH AMERICA. Paradies Lagardère has launched a full Mobile Point of Sale (mPOS) tool at its food & beverage locations in North America.

The tool allows servers to conduct mobile financial transactions, rather than be restricted by a dedicated POS countertop.

The mPOS was tested at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport at several of Paradies Lagardère’s bars and restaurants, such as Wow Bao and Washington Pour Bar. Used during the lunch and dinner rush periods for several weeks, sales went up at Wow Bao (pictured below) by +10% and by almost +17% at Washington Pour Bar, the company said.

Dining outlets using the tool remain PCI compliant (conforming to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard regulations), Paradies Lagardère stressed.

“We’re committed to incorporating technology and innovation into our business operations,” said Paradies Lagardère Senior Vice President, Food and Beverage Bill Casey.

“Airport travel can be stressful and harried, and tools such as the mPOS at our dining establishments not only lead to increased customer satisfaction, but increased sales as well.”
