Paradies Lagardère captures Univision and Relay concessions at Dallas Fort Worth Airport

USA. Paradies Lagardère has been awarded two new travel essential locations, for Univision and Relay, at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The Univision store will open in Terminal C, while Relay, a new concept at the airport, will be in pre-security in Terminal D.

“Paradies Lagardère is thrilled with the opportunity to continue to build upon our successful partnership with DFW airport,” said Paradies Lagardère President and CEO Gregg Paradies. “We’re confident these new concepts will not only serve travellers’ needs, but they will enjoy the fun technology we’ve put into the stores, including news in two languages on high-definition screens and the selfie screen in our Univision store, and the Flowbox screen in the Relay store.”

The Univision store will offer travel accessories, beverages, health & beauty items and destination goods, as well as engaging travellers with a “selfie screen”.

Terminal C is the busiest terminal at the airport, and Terminal D is undergoing a renovation and expansion. Both terminals serve international leisure travellers, said the retailer. It added that these concepts will address “both traveller and airport employee needs, as well as deliver customer-focused and engaging experiences utilising innovation and technology”.

The travel essential concepts proposed in Paradies Lagardère’s winning bid include:

  • Univision, the leading multi-media company serving Hispanic America. A popular airport store brand, the Univision travel essentials store offers beverages, health & beauty items and souvenirs. To add an element of fun and interactivity a selfie screen outside the store allows travellers to take and share pictures of themselves.
  • Relay, a proprietary Paradies Lagardère brand with 1,400 stores in 23 countries, with a diverse range from snacks to water to reading materials. This Relay store will incorporate Flowbox, a new generation LED display that will add an interactive visual display in the store, and reflect events in the city and at the airport. The store will also offer illy Coffee.

Both concepts will allow customers payment options through Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Mobile POS.
