OTG hails successful annual conference, expo and awards

USA. Hospitality group OTG gathered over 600 staff, business partners, family and friends from its 350+ airport locations for its Annual Conference earlier this month.

Over two days of team building at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, the attendees discussed upcoming innovations and new ventures. These include concept openings, technology and a new OTG mentorship programme.

CEO Rick Blatstein opened the conference, introducing presentations from the OTG leadership. Yearly overviews were followed by panels featuring industry insights from the OTG crew based in airports.

Collaborative breakout sessions followed where staff had the opportunity to interact and participate in open discussions with OTG leadership.

OTG hosted an expo following the conference, allowing current and potential business partners to meet the OTG crew and present products and services.

The expo was also the stage for the annual OTG chef showdown, known as the ‘Iron Chef Competition’, which had staff cheering for their respective airport teams.

Finally, attendees gathered in the evening at the Venetian Hotel Ballroom for the OTG Awards & Gala. OTG staff from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport won the Team of the Year Award.

“The teamwork and dedication displayed by the Houston Airport team in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, and its devastating toll on the city of Houston, was nothing short of remarkable and made them more than deserving of this award,” stated OTG.

“Their determination to serve their city in such hard circumstances is exemplary,” the company said. Such an approach typified the perseverance and endurance of all OTG crew members, it added.
