OTG celebrates female-owned and operated beverage businesses in Women’s History Month

USA. Airport hospitality group OTG is marking Women’s History Month by promoting women winemakers, distillers and proprietors throughout OTG-operated bars and restaurants.

During March, OTG is showcasing women’s contributions to the beverage industry, with information on the makers and their product prominently featured on iPads in participating restaurants at Newark Liberty International Terminal C, New York LaGuardia Airport Terminal C & D and Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Concourse G.

Allison Kafalas: “In the spirit-making industry, it’s important we honour and celebrate the women who are innovating in this field.”

The makers include:

Allison Parc: A former professional ballerina at New York’s Joffrey Ballet, Parc is the Founder and Owner of Brenne Whiskey Single Malt French Whiskey.

Chrissy Whitman: From studying soil and water as an enologist, Whitman directs winemaking at The Prisoner Wine Company.

Genevieve Janssens: Having studied under some of the most influential wine makers of modern times, Janssens brings her experience and passion to Robert Mondavi winery.

Charlene Pinson: Pinson continues a long family history of winemaking in the Chablis region dating back to 1640; she runs Domaine Pinson Freres with her father.

Barbara Banke and daughters Julia and Katie Jackson: For 30 years, the Jackson family has sustainably farmed and tended their Santa Maria estate.

“In the spirit-making industry, it’s important we honour and celebrate the women who are innovating in this field,” said OTG Beverage Director Allison Kafalas. “At OTG, we are proud to promote these women owned-and-operated wineries and spirit makers we partner with and really promote their stories and products across some of our busiest airports.”
