Origins strives for perfection in a less than Perfect World

Origins has added two new products to its A Perfect World skincare collection. A Perfect World SPF40 Age-Defence Moisturizer with White Tea and A Perfect World Antioxidant Moisturizer with White Tea are on-counter now in global travel retail.

The aim of the Origins A Perfect World collection is to acknowledge that the world isn’t a perfect place for our skin and to protect and repair it accordingly. The two latest products in the range aim to protect the complexion from multiple environmental stressors including infrared rays, pollution and UV rays. The two products can be used as a day and night duo.

Strong brew: The silver tip white tea used in these products was known by Chinese emperors as the ‘Elixir of Immortality’

A Perfect World SPF40 Age-Defence Moisturizer with White Tea contains Origins’ highest ever SPF in a moisturiser. The oil-free moisturiser is designed to be used in the morning to deliver ‘instant’ hydration and to defend skin throughout the day with broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection.

The product is also said to guard skin against infrared rays (IR) which, according to Origins, make up 50% of all light and can damage the complexion through protein damage, oxidative stress and free radical generation.

A Perfect World Antioxidant Moisturizer with White Tea is an antioxidant rich moisturiser which is said to maximise skin’s moisture barrier. It can be used at night to complement the SPF40 Age-Defence Moisturizer, or, if paired with an SPF, it can be used during the day. Both products are formulated to ward off the environmental damage before it takes its toll on skin.

Tea ceremony: Designed to uplift the senses, the two new products contain an essential oil blend of spearmint, lemon, orange and bergamot

The two products contain a trio of natural active ingredients: Edelweiss which is used to strengthen skin’s barrier; white birch which combats the release of a destructive skin enzyme, elastase, which can damage skin’s support network; silver tip white tea, a ‘super’ powerful antioxidant with a high concentration of polyphenols, which claims to provide three times the antioxidant benefits of green tea.
