The Estée Lauder Companies-owned natural skincare brand Origins has named Urban Farmer and Mushroom Expert Indy Officinalis as its New Global Influencer Partner.

Los Angeles-based Officinalis is a sustainability activist. As Global Influencer Partner, she will work to support the work of Origins Green the Planet, the brand’s tree planting project. Origins Green the Planet aims to restore global ecosystems and support environmental justice organisations around the world.

Officinalis will appear in campaign visuals and create engaging and educational social media content for Origins’ best-selling lines: Mega Mushroom and GinZing.

Indy Officinalis is an urban farmer, mushroom expert and sustainability activist. In her new role, she will help Origins Green the Planet initiative and appear in educational social media campaigns.

Officinalis is a graduate of the Blue Ridge School of Herbalism where she received her Advanced Clinical Herbalist Certification. She spent six years farming and foraging mushrooms across the US and has a deep understanding of the wellbeing benefits of mushrooms. She is also a long-time fan and user of Origins’ popular Mega Mushroom Treatment Lotion.

Commenting on her appointment, Indy Officinalis said: “To be part of a brand like Origins is a dream come true. I am proud to support a brand who shares in my passion for making the world a better place.

“Origins has long been using the power of plants, mushrooms and other naturally-derived ingredients. As a farmer and forager myself, and someone who has studied the power of nature, I could not be more excited to be partnering with Origins as their new Global Influencer.”

“We are thrilled to have Indy join our Origins family,” commented Origins Senior Vice President and General Manager Ada Lien. “Indy’s respect and enthusiasm for our planet blends perfectly with our guiding principles at Origins. We are excited to work together to create meaningful programs and content that support our shared love of high-performance active natural skincare, the power of mushrooms and taking care of our planet.”
