Oliver Weber adds its sparkle to travel retail jewellery offer

Austrian jewellery brand Oliver Weber Collection is eyeing further opportunities in travel retail following an initial foray into the channel via the inflight and cruise sectors.

The company was founded in 1994 by Oliver Weber and Alexander Stabinger, who both held management positions at Swarovski. The brand produces jewellery pieces made exclusively from Swarovski crystals. All jewellery is coated with 18 carat gold, rose gold, palladium or rhodium to protect it against scratching.

Oliver Weber said its success is based on a mix of fashion and design expertise. Each year the brand produces two seasonal collections, which feature a range of styles and colours and different base materials.

Oliver Weber sells its products in 50 countries globally, including South Korea, Peru, China and UAE. Prices start from €35, rising to €90.

Jewellery includes rings, charm bracelets and necklaces

In travel retail, the brand’s products are sold on Aegean and Austrian airlines, at Erfurt Weimar Airport in Germany and with the following cruise ship and ferry operators: Minoan Lines, Swan Hellenic, Lüftner Cruises and Cruisinc Group. The company revealed it will soon start collaborating with Cyprus Airports Duty Free Shops (ARI).

The company also produces sunglasses, nail files, bags and brooches but said its main focus for travel retail is jewellery, for which it has created a self-select spinning display tower.
