Luxottica Group has made two key appointments to its travel retail team in the EMEA and APAC regions.
Yann Ehrbar has been named Regional Sales Director EMEA Travel Retail, with Bettina Danet’s appointed as Regional Sales Director APAC Travel Retail.
Ehrbar joined Luxottica in 2009 and has held sales, marketing and general management roles in the UK and Switzerland. He was appointed Sales Director in 2014. Ehrbar is based in Milan.
Danet joined the Luxottica Travel Retail division in 2010, spearheading projects to accelerate Luxottica’s expansion in the sunglasses channel. In 2014 she took on the role of Global Travel Retail Marketing Manager before becoming Regional Sales Director EMEA Travel Retail in 2017. Danet is based in Singapore.
Senior Director Americas Travel Retail Valerie Mills Marks, who is based in Miami, continues to lead Luxottica in the Americas region.
Luxottica said the appointments reflect the group’s commitment to “nurturing top talent” within travel retail.
“Under their leadership, Luxottica seeks to continue its momentum in the channel and accelerate growth through even closer and more creative partnerships with major travel retailers in each region,” Luxottica stated.
Ehrbar, Danet and Mills Marks report to Luxottica Global Travel Retail Director Enrico Destro who in turn reports to Global Channels Director Alessandro Pozzi.
