CANADA. The Nuance Group North America has been named Best Canadian Airport Duty Free Company by the Frontier Duty Free Association (FDFA). The FDFA annually recognises the achievements of land border duty free stores but this year introduced an award to honour airport retailers.

The award was based on voting open to all FDFA members that sell into at least three airports in Canada. Nuance received its award on 14 November at the Hilton Hotel & Suites in Niagara Falls during the FDFA Annual Convention & Trade Show.

The Nuance Group North America CEO Richard Rendek said: “The Nuance Group is very pleased to have been recognised for this prestigious award. I would like to thank all of our business partners for their support and our key suppliers for providing Nuance with unique and exclusive promotional opportunities.”

The Nuance Group operates over 5,800sq m of retail space across seven airports; Calgary, Toronto, Chicago, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Houston and Las Vegas. In addition, the company will open two new stores at Orlando International Airport in December.
