No SIM, no network picking: King Power Group (HK) subsidiary CNPay Global launches unique Wi-Fi device

“GTW is an exquisite and portable device based on ergonomic design” – Sunil Tuli

HONG KONG. King Power Group Hong Kong subsidiary CNPay Global has this week launched what it claims to be the world’s first global coverage, SIM card-free, mobile Wi-Fi device.

The mobile Wi-Fi device, GT1 (from GT Wireless), is designed to meet the communication and internet demand of international travellers. The innovation is being shown in Singapore during this week’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition.

Unlike other ostensibly similar devices, no SIM card needs to be inserted when the GT1 user lands in another country. Instead they are connected to the local network automatically.

GT1, a portable smart device for cross-border internet usage, is based on a “revolutionary” high technology called Cloud SIM. This has been patented in China and undergone the PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) for multiple country registrations.

GT1 can automatically select and seamlessly access over 80 well-known telco carriers around the world in 120 countries and regions. It covers all the major markets through mainstream network providers. Up to five people can share the user’s data on the go. Furthermore, when the consumer makes phone calls via the GT1 app, they can save international roaming call charges.

Sunil Tuli, Managing Director (Duty Free and Travel Retail) at King Power Group Hong Kong and Director of CNPay said, “GT1 is an exquisite and portable device based on ergonomic design.

“It has three main features: Seamless global data access – no SIM, no network picking; Data-sharing, one purchase serves five users; Long-lasting battery – 35 hours standby and 12 hours usage.”
