Nice Côte d’Azur Airport launches tenders for six innovative pop-up concepts

FRANCE. As reported, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport has launched a call for tenders to secure innovative and “surprising” concepts for six pop-up retail areas.

The airport, which is the biggest in France outside of Paris, saw 13.3 million passengers in 2017.

The pop-up programme launched in 2012 and has since housed around 50 brands. The temporary sales spaces are part of a strategy of “providing travellers with the most surprising commercial experience in a European airport,” said the airport.

The six pop-up stores will be installed in newly renovated terminals. The airport said the premium location and space shows how highly the programme is valued.

For more information on the locations and spaces, contract and fees, as well as the categories the airport is considering, see our more detailed report here.

Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur Director Commercial Business Units Filip Soete commented: “The Nice Côte d’Azur airport represents a unique laboratory for young brands: a passenger route optimised to maximise the visibility of commercial partners; a growing flow of passengers; a showcase for one of the most attractive regions of France; and a Mediterranean atmosphere conducive to relaxation and shopping.”

The deadline for applications is 9 November 2018. Further information can be found here.
