Newrest and Lima Airport Partners team up to create new VIP lounge at Jorge Chávez International Airport

PERU. A new VIP lounge has opened at Jorge Chávez International Airport. The renovated space has been created through a partnership between Newrest and Lima Airport Partners (LAP).

Hot and cold snacks, adapted to daily flight schedules, are on offer in the new facility.

The 290sq m National VIP Lounge represents an investment of over 1 million Soles (US$300,000), and has capacity for more than 80 people.

Design and construction of the space was carried out under the direction of Newrest, the French multi-sector catering specialist. It was overseen by LAP, which is the private operator of Jorge Chávez airport.

25 high chairs are available in the lounge and can be used for laptop working and food & beverage consumption.

The new facility is double the size of the previous VIP lounge, and includes a bar area. The seating is comprised of 43 sofas and 25 high chairs.

Chill out: 43 sofas will tempt passengers looking to relax ahead of their flights.

Also available are eight individual cabins, which are described by LAP as similar to First Class suites on an airplane.

Other features of the space include showers, a children’s area with games, computers for passenger use, Wi-Fi and a luggage storage service.

A children’s area with a variety of games has its own space in the new facility.

On offer are a wide variety of cold and hot snacks adapted to the daily flight schedules at Jorge Chávez, with beverages available at no additional cost, LAP said.

Private computer spaces are available to passengers using the National VIP Lounge.

Newrest has a number of interests in Peru, including providing services to Air Europa, Air France, British Airways and KLM. It also has about 30 operations in the city of Lima and serves other clients across Peru, such as Hudbay, Antapaccay, Goldfields, Engie and CEPSA.
