New Thing highlights British brands in global travel retail arena

Travel retail sales and marketing agency New Thing has introduced three British companies into travel retail.

Products from Bubabloon, Henderson Group and Whitakers Chocolates were featured by New Thing at this year’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.

Bubabloon: the non-tech toy making balloon play safe for kids

Bubabloon offers a simple twist on balloon play through a washable fabric cover that combines the bouncy effect of a balloon with the fun of a ball. Described as a ‘back-to-basics toy’, the 100% cotton cover is said to make any 12 inch balloon play safe.

Bubabloon designs include prints and a colour-your-own travel themed edition, priced at approximately £12 (US$15), complete with pens and three balloons.

Bubabloon secured inflight listings with Austrian Airlines and Thomas Cook Airlines this summer, New Thing stated.

UK watch specialist Henderson Group’s portfolio includes collections from Christin Lars, Eternity, Gianni Sabatini, Thomas Calvi, Elizabeth Rose, Racing Green, Tokyo Laundry, and Lucy K.

According to New Thing, a travel retail-exclusive range is under development.

British confectionery brand Whitakers Chocolates has launched a selection of its products in smaller packs for travel retail. The brand is known for its wide range of flavours in chocolate neapolitans, chocolate truffles, foiled chocolates, fondant cremes and chocolate wafers.
