New retail and food & beverage outlets to open in extended Leeds Bradford terminal

UK. The forthcoming extended terminal building at Leeds Bradford Airport will include additional retail and food & beverage outlets, it was announced today.

Leeds City Council approved plans earlier this week for a major two/three-storey extension to the main terminal that will also feature expanded areas for immigration and baggage reclaim and improved departure-gate facilities.

Remodelling of the existing terminal, including construction of the new retail and food & beverage areas, will take place after the extension has been completed.

Passenger numbers in the airport are expected to rise from four million to seven million by 2030. Australian asset manager AMP Capital bought Leeds Bradford, Britain’s 15th-largest airport by passenger volume, in October 2017.

Leeds Bradford Airport Chief Executive David Laws said: “This is fantastic news for the region’s passengers and the wider economy.”
