New direction: JCI Jewellery renames itself Kurate International

JCI Jewellery has unveiled a new company name, Kurate International, to include all of its jewellery brands and a streamlined corporate image.

Kurate Key Account Manager Claire O’Donnell said the refresh was a major step for the company as it plans further expansion in the travel retail channel.

“Just a few years ago travel retail was the smallest part of a very traditional company,” O’Donnell said. “Now it is the biggest part of our business. It was time to end any confusion over our brands and to move forward with a strong company image.”

O’Donnell added: “A lot has changed in our company over the past 18 months, we have entered new countries and met new customers from all over the world, exhibiting in Hong Kong, Singapore and Cannes. This company rebrand has been prompted by this development and growth across our domestic, international and travel retail divisions.”

The Kurate portfolio includes Aeon Jewellery, which introduced a new inflight-exclusive collection of charm necklaces and bracelets at this month’s TFWA World Exhibition. Moon watches were also highlighted, along with a new range of bracelets and charms from the You brand.

You starter bracelets are available in silver, gold and rose gold plated mesh. Charms include the travel retail-exclusive airplane and camera.
