New dining brands land at Sacramento International – 01/08/08

US. HMSHost has announced the opening of several new restaurant and beverage brands at Sacramento International Airport.

The new food and beverage outlets at Terminal A include Sacramento’s own Lemon Grass, along with Quiznos, Saladworks and Zia. Three new Starbucks Coffee locations have also been opened in Terminals A and B.

In addition to the new brands, HMSHost renovated existing outlets such as California Pizza Kitchen, Burger King and Pyramid Ale House. Rounding out the food and beverage offerings are Gordon Biersch, Chili’s Too, Sbarro and Prospector’s Pub.

“We are pleased with the new local and national restaurant brands HMSHost now provides for our travellers. They clearly distinguish Sacramento International from other California airports and reflect the food culture in our area,” said Sacramento County Airport System Director G. Hardy Acree.

Spoilt for choice: Lemon Grass is one of the new dining options out of a wide selection that HMSHost brings to travellers at Sacramento International Airport

Lemon Grass is a casual eatery offering a combination of Vietnamese and Thai cuisines with an emphasis on Southeast Asian flavour and freshness. Thai dishes include spicy options like curries and satays and Vietnamese offerings include various salads, salad rolls and noodle dishes. Entrees include Grilled Lemon Grass Chicken, Grilled Bangkok Chicken, Green Curry with Shrimp or Chicken and Jungle Curry with Tofu and Vegetables.

Quiznos is an alternative to traditional fast-food with sandwiches on artisan breads, fresh salads and hearty soups.

Saladworks offers travellers quick, healthy meals. The Saladworks menu includes salads, wraps, sandwiches and soups. All items are made to order with generous portions of fresh-cut ingredients.

Zia juice’s menu of vitamin fortified, low calorie and fat free options includes yogurt parfaits, frozen treats, fresh blended smoothies, 100% fruit juices, high protein bars and baked goods.

“Travellers visiting the state’s capital via Sacramento International Airport will find these enhanced dining options that will make their day better – from Asian cuisine to grab-n-go at Quiznos and Zia, to a great craft beer at Prospector’s Pub, we’ve provided a selection of food and beverage for people on-the-go,” added HMSHost Senior Vice President, Business Development Pat Banducci.
