THAILAND. Beauty house Coty has teamed up with King Power International for a football-themed activation to mark the travel retail launch of new fragrance Boss Bottled United.
The pop-up animation, underlining Hugo Boss’s and King Power International’s shared commitment to football, will open at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport in July. The promotion coincides with the latter stages of the FIFA World Cup, which culminates with the final on 15 July.
Boss Bottled will be available at the pop-up in 100ml (THB2,765/US$86.70) and 200ml (THB3,770/US$118.20) bottles.
Boss Parfums will also participate in King Power’s Sport Power CSR programme by donating to the Fox Hunt* project, a scheme dedicated to the development of young football talent.
King Power-owned Leicester City Football Club (*known popularly as the Foxes) famously won the English Premier League in 2015/2016 as a 5,000-1 outsider. Ten of the team have been selected for the FIFA World Cup (see panel).
Following its Premier League victory, King Power International pledged to build 100 artificial-turf football pitches for Thai schools and to donate 1 million footballs to children across the country by 2022. The campaign aims to develop Thailand’s young athletes into formidable competitors on the international stage.
