Nestlé unveils global activation and new products at IAADFS

Nestlé International Travel Retail (NITR) is revealing a new global activation at this year’s IAADFS show in Orlando, as it also presents a range of products from strategic brands.

The activation, ‘Live Your Break’, is being accompanied by the launch of a second edition of the Kit Kat ‘Celebrate the Breakers’ travel retail-exclusive sharing bag. The packs are particularly targeted at Millennials, and come in three types: Urban, Festival, and Adventure.

NITR is also showcasing Kit Kat Mini Moments, an added-value proposition exclusive to travel retail. The snack-sized Kit Kats include caramel, mocha, cookies & cream, hazelnut and the original milk chocolate flavours and it launched globally in January 2017. Presented in a premium format, it also targets Millennials as a key segment, and encourages travellers to explore new flavour experiences, according to NITR.

The company’s Smarties range on display features Toppers, a giant tube with a transparent dome incorporating a reversible finger puppet, crayons and a rocket or princess dispenser. Telescope and Art Tube products include crayons, coloured paper and stencils. A new moneybox tin and a giant pocket dispenser are also being showcased.

NITR said its travel retail-exclusive Nestlé Swiss brand was a key focus in the Americas. It is available in a variety of formats, including an assortment of 300g bars. These comprise plain Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate bars, as well as flavoured varieties Milk Chocolate with Fruit & Nuts, Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts, and Milk Chocolate with Almonds & Honey. Nestlé Swiss also comes in snacking and sharing sizes.

“We see specific growth opportunities especially in the premium and family gifting categories. We are confident that our new launches will drive full value and create category growth in these critical segments.”

NITR also announced the appointment of Chase International as its duty free travel retail distributor for selected accounts and channels in the North American duty free market.
