Munich and Düsseldorf airports launch joint advertising initiative

GERMANY. Munich and Düsseldorf airports have launched a combined marketing campaign for advertising space, with clients benefiting from packages that run across both locations. The partnership runs initially to year end.

Effective immediately, each airport will exclusively market selected spaces at the other. Both airports serve “economically strong regions with highly mobile target groups with particularly high purchasing power,” said the partners.

The cross-promotion of advertising allows clients to benefit from a vast target audience with high purchasing power, say the airport companies (Düsseldorf Airport pictured above and below)

For the client, they added, “only one booking is required for a prominent presence at both airports. The booking of selected top locations at both airports increases the reach and generates enormous awareness for the customer’s own campaign. The specific composition of the packages enables customers to address particular target groups, such as departing passengers, arriving passengers or passengers waiting in the lounges – without scatter loss”.

Six packages are available, tailored to different target groups and customer needs. The ‘Digital Welcome’ package features two prominent digital advertising spaces that can be seen by most arriving passengers. With the ‘Big Departure’ package, clients can benefit from passengers’ waiting time before the security check. The advertising messages are displayed on five large digital and analogue screens.
