INDIA. Mumbai Duty Free recently welcomed Bollywood stars to its stores as it launched a new value promotion.

The visits from the stars came as part of the retailer’s role as official duty free shopping partner of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend & Awards 2017.

The promotion, ‘Mumbai Duty Free is now free’, offered special and customised privileges to all attendees of the ILFA Bollywood awards ceremony travelling from Mumbai International Airport. The special offers were extended to celebrities, media, sponsors, management teams, and support staff.

“We are extremely happy to be associated with IIFA Weekend & Awards 2017,” said Mumbai Duty Free Managing Director Manishi Sanwal. “With our special offerings under the programme, we are sure to make the duty free shopping exclusive for the IIFA contingent and delightful for all customers of Mumbai Duty Free. Over the next few months, we will keep surprising our patrons with amazing value and entertaining offerings.”

Mumbai Duty Free partnered with downtown brands for the campaign. Any customer who spends above a certain threshold at its stores receives a ‘Mumbai Duty Free is now free’ envelope. The envelope contains discount vouchers, redeemable coupons, and complementary experiences from partner brands which the customer can use for making purchases.
