INTERNATIONAL. Moodie Davitt Virtual Expo Company has been appointed to curate the inaugural Connecting Aircraft & Passenger Virtual Conference & Expo on 14-18 September
The Connecting Aircraft & Passenger Virtual Conference & Expo, announced yesterday, is organised by specialist business publication Aircraft Commerce. Aircraft Commerce is a long-time organiser of highly successful physical exhibitions and conferences but this marks its first Virtual Expo.
The Connecting Aircraft & Passenger Virtual Conference & Expo will address critical issues that concern airports and airlines through the unprecedented turmoil of the COVID-19 crisis. The innovative 5-day format, featuring live and on-demand sessions, is targeted at a diverse audience including airline and airport executives, health and biosecurity experts, aircraft modification and interior providers, and ancillary revenue and specialist product vendors. The powerful speakers’ line-up feature addresses from market leaders including Safran, Black Swan, SitaOnAir and Airbus. For all enquiries please click here.
“I am delighted that Aircraft Commerce is working with the Moodie Davitt Virtual Expo Company and its Expo partner FILTR to bring the inaugural Connecting Aircraft & Passenger Conference & Expo to life as a compelling virtual event this September,” said Editor & Publisher Charles Williams. “Our new event will focus on how airlines, airports and airport authorities can rebuild passenger confidence in the ‘new normal’.
As reported, Moodie Davitt Virtual Expo Company – a sister company to The Moodie Davitt Report parent Moodie International – has been created to drive the group’s diversification outside travel-related markets and to reinforce the success of the pioneering Virtual Travel Retail Expo set for October.
The new company’s first owned event is the Wellbeing World Virtual Expo (for all enquiries please contact Adele@AdeleWolstenhulme.com or Martin@MoodieDavittReport.com), a breakthrough consumer and trade exhibition and symposium to be held in November (full details coming soon). A series of major Expos – owned and contracted – is planned throughout 2020.
Moodie Davitt Virtual Expo Company is led by majority shareholder Martin Moodie as Chairman with fellow shareholders and Directors Dermot Davitt and Matt Willey (Chief Technology Officer at The Moodie Davitt Report). It will organise owned Virtual events as well a newly created contracting arm. The company has partnered with Singapore- and London-based integrated retail design and communications agency FILTR to produce all events.
Martin Moodie said: “Together with FILTR, which has done such an outstanding job on the Virtual Travel Retail Expo, we’re delighted to have been appointed by Aircraft Commerce to curate their first Virtual Expo. Dermot and I are also very happy to welcome Matt Willey, a driving force behind our travel retail event, as a shareholder in our new company. The Virtual Travel Retail Expo has attracted the support of many of the industry’s biggest names and we are looking forward to replicating that success in new sectors.
“FILTR and The Moodie Davitt Report have poured over 5,000 man and woman hours into creating a high-class Virtual Expo environment and experience and we will be bringing that expertise to both our owned and contracted events in 2021 and beyond.”
