CHINA. The Moodie Davitt Report has just published the second of our regularly weekly posts via our new Official Account.

The two big stories featured are ones broke exclusively on The Moodie Davitt Report, starting with multi-brand luxury watch boutique TimeVallée’s successful travel retail debut with China Duty Free Group in Mova Mall, Haikou.

We also covered a groundbreaking development, with hugely positive repercussions for offshore duty free in Hainan, as China’s National Medical Products Administration announces that effective 1 May, imported general cosmetics can waive animal testing under specific conditions.

The TimeVallée store is conveniently located within the CDFG space on the first floor of the Mova Mall’s Gemini tower

We also featured LVMH-owned beauty and fragrance house Guerlain’s new brand e-boutique partnership with leading Chinese B2C travel retail platform TripurX.

The increasingly well-received TripurX WeChat Mini Program offers a classy Guerlain boutique featuring several of the beauty house’s best-selling products and collections, with a special focus on the Guerlain Abeille Royale range.

Our WeChat post also featured the brilliant partnership between Lancôme Travel Retail Asia Pacific and China Duty Free Group with the ‘Let’s Grow Happiness Together’ pop-up at the Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Haitang Bay, Hainan.

The activation combined beauty with sustainability and also marked the debut of the Lancôme Absolue Soft Cream refill service.

The Moodie Davitt Report’s newly-launched WeChat Official Account delivers weekly updates in the Chinese language on the duty free and travel retail world in China and beyond.
