Mondelez World Travel Retail bolsters Middle East team

Mondelez World Travel Retail (WTR) has made three appointments to strengthen its Dubai-based Regional Accounts team, with a focus on the Gulf/Indian Sub-Continent and Levant/Africa sub-regions.

The organisational changes aim to sharpen the company’s structure and deliver more tailored support for partners in these sub-regions.

Kamal Kumar takes on the newly created role of Business Development Manager – Gulf/Indian Sub-Continent. Kumar’s past work experience includes Buying Officer at a major duty free operator where he was responsible for food and confectionery. In his new role, Kumar will support growing business within the Middle East-Africa/Indian Sub-Continent region, specifically focusing on and managing the Gulf and Indian Sub-Continent.

Marwa Arif, formerly Junior Business Development Manager, has been promoted to the new role of Business Development Manager Levant/Africa.

Both Arif and Kumar will report to Mondelez World Travel Retail Senior Business Development Manager for Middle East/Africa/Indian Sub-Continent Lucas Roberts.

Dandin de Vera joins the team as Customer Development Manager for Regional Accounts in Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, Indian Sub-Continent and Nordics. De Vera has significant experience in confectionery and will focus on driving the “in-store excellence agenda based on solid understanding of shopper behaviour and category knowledge”. He will also further strengthen strategic partnerships with retailers in the region together with Business Development Managers.

De Vera will report to Mondelez World Travel Retail Head of Customer Development Florence Benguerel.
